Set in 1979 Liverpool, this film -- based on the cult novel of the same name by Kevin Sampson -- captures the energy of the post-punk era as it follows 19-year-old Carty (Nicky Bell) in his quest to become part of the Pack, a gang of violent football hooligans. Bored out of his mind in suburbia, Carty is ecstatic when Pack honcho Elvis (Liam Boyle) takes him under his wing. But Elvis has his own plans for Carty -- and they don't involve the Pack.
