the dialogue is a little clunky at times. Of course it didn't help that many of the actors were obviously just there for the paycheck and had no idea how to act in a fantasy movie i.e. just like in any other movie, don't overact. Michael Madsen in particular who I've been a fan of, really just phoned in his lines and didn't seem like he wanted to be there.The main problem with the movie though, was the direction, which was clumsy at best and somewhat reminiscent in style to Uwe Bol's last clunker, 'House of the dead'.
On the positive side, Kristanna Loken did a fine job taking on this character. Not only was her acting top class, she also looks great, which doesn't hurt. Also the sets were well done, there certainly seems to have been some money spent on the film.
So, if you're a genre fan like me and are willing to look past these many imperfections you'll come away thinking you didn't entirely waste your time. And if your not, well, it's not very long so at least it'll be over quickly. 3/5

was something to behold, especially Michael Madsen - it's plain to see that he doesn't care at all.The dialogue is rubbish, the plot is just like a video game.
This guy is a modern day Ed Wood.

and even weaker storyline. This is the type of movie that could potentially ruin an actors career. Rent it at your own risk.

with feeling - I guess its much easier to play a machine than a "real" person - hell it made Arnold a star. With a suprisingly good cast including Michael Masden (Species, Reseviour Dogs), Michelle Rodriguez (Catfight, Resident Evil and TV's Lost), Billy Zane (Titanic, Memphis Bell, Dead Calm) and even Ben KIngsley (Ghandi, Sneakers, Schindlers List). Unfortunately a good cast can never make up for a terrible script o poor direction. 40 minutes into this shocker I switched off and moved to something more paletable. For die hard vampire lovers only.
