In 2nd-century Britain, Roman fighter Quintas Dias (Michael Fassbender) is the lone survivor of a Pictish attack on a Roman frontier post. Eager for revenge, he joins the Ninth Legion -- under General Virilus (Dominic West) -- and journeys north on a mission to destroy the Picts. Writer-director Neil Marshall's rousing sword-and-sandals adventure also stars Olga Kurylenko as the beautiful Pict warrior Etain.

Silly but fun enough; on the plus side there is Fassbender nudity (was expecting more, dammit), on the minus, er, virtually everything else (hilarious pouty mute bimbo!). Some good campy turns from slumming thespians.

Good entertainment with lots of beleivable bloody scenes and hard hitting fights. Good story

Was great, alot of blood and gore like braveheart which i liked, some great scenery shots and mountain tops, a bit different to the big battled other same era war movies, but kept me entertained through the whole thing

Very enjoyable blood and guts "well-spoken Romans do Scotland". Predictable, yes, entertaining, definitely, true to life, not at all.
