Jeff Bridges at his best! Not a happy feelgood film but well acted.

Great movie with Jeff Bridges giving an oh-so-real portrayal of the character...great singing too! Immensely enjoyable! Had to wait awhile to get the DVD but well worth waiting for...

Excellent acting by Bridges as an alcoholic country star on a downward spiral. Loved the music but be warned the pace of the movie is slow. It is more of a character study than a plot-driven movie

I'm not a fan of country music at all, but I thought this was extremely well acted and easy watching. Much better than anticipated and would recommend.

As country music fans - loved the music. Nice story, well acted by JB in the lead role. Worth seeing if you want a night in without violence or horror as the main theme :-).
