I just loved this movie, it's full of lots of heart warming, tear jerking, funny, wish you had someone like that in your life type of movie - and I just love J.D so anything he's in I'm gonna love anyway... Read more
. But really, it's full of inspiration and makes you want to have that sort of imagination (like when you were a kid) again.

I reckon its a lovely story, with the historical interest, the melodrama and tragedy, yet with a positive ending. Go for it!

way that she doesn't always attain. I didn't watch this with my kids, and I'm not sure that children would get all that much out of it. The themes are for more mature audiences, involving disappointment, pretending and the emotional issues are beyond a younger audience. Children may enjoy some of the scenes, but it's really a film for the grown ups. I loved the way the real world and imaginary are bridged so beautifully. Charming and moving.

. Johnny Depp and Kate Winslet are very good, but the acting from the boy who plays Peter could have been better. For the best movies about a writer writing a story, see "Adaptation" or "Shakespeare in Love".

A touching and moving story based on the playwriter of Peter Pan. It was a good movie to make adults to think about the simple things in life and their childhood. Very much recommended.
