This is a brilliant film that illustrates the quality and humanity of leadership. It helps to have read Shakespeare's play and to know something of the history to keep up with the dialogue, which is... Read more
still amazingly relevant today. Alternatively, you can watch the film a few times because it becomes more enjoyable each time you watch it. The acting is superb.

Harry (like a certain Bush Jr.) has led a pretty irresponsible life as a youth (just ask Falstaff.) But now it is time to show his strength and maturity by allowing his corporate supporters to concoct... Read more
a flimsy excuse to go to war with another sovereign nation. At first things look good, then bad, then good again as no weapons of mass destruction are found. Harry makes us all proud to be English. Those who will love this film: The English, Shakespeare lovers, anyone who thinks war is glorious. Those who will dislike this film: The French, those who hate studying Shakespeare or the history of the 100 Year's War, Joan of Arc. Classic scene: Oh, you know, the speech where Harry says we will curse ourselves for missing out on the battle at Agincourt. Harry just makes you feel bad about not being there - lucky this film makes us feel like we were.

magnificent performance by Kenneth Branagh. His strengths & weaknesses as both a man & a king were highlighted by wonderful close up photography of the emotions of the man. This production is the best of the best of Shakespeare. He would have been speechless watching his words come to life.

Blessed waddles about in armour and seems to be the only actor present. Christian Bale is barely out of nappies but still looks the same. It's as if someone left him out int he rain. If you like the rambling insanity of shakespearean english, you'll love this.
