This one of those "worthy" movies that you feel you should watch, and try to stick with. But the movie doesn't build any audience rapport with the characters, and the story is just depressing and slow... Read more... so after hour you call it quits and hit eject.
I'm not quite sure who the audience is for this film - but it's terrific, and Natalie Portman is wonderful as Jackie. Actually everyone's good. It's focused wisely on one part of her life entirely so it's really about how this famous woman coped after having everything she valued taken away from her. And that's enough. Any more would be a mini series.
More of a nice to know a little history than anything else. I think it hurts the movie slightly by defining an icon only over a two week window like this movie does. She is more than her first husband's... Read more death. I was more interested in her youth, the story of how they met, the after JFK period, and the Onassis period in addition to this 1.5hr interlude. Saying that, NP is the finest actress of her generation and does a superb job in the role.
Slow and steady paced movie. Interesting to watch and recall the history of that time. Would have preferred to see Katie Holmes in the lead role though. Worth the watch.

Beautifully crafted and executed piece dealing with Jackie Kennedy's life in the days immediately following the assassination. Haunting music adds to the atmosphere. Slow paced and melancholic, so may not be suitable for those that require instant gratification.
I loved this film tears all the way slow yes but worth it
