Fantastic film, the best I've seen in ages. Very well acted, but keep your tissues handy, you'll need them. I loved it so much, I'm going to buy my own copy.
Loved this movie, well acted, interesting and sad story line. would watch it again anytime
Great movie, well worth the watch. Highly recommended
Brilliant Movie, we loved the story so very well told and incredible acting, I highly recommend it.
Incredible story, made into a beautiful movie. Very engaging, loved it.
Absolutely brilliant! We enjoyed this moving story. Acting tops. 10/10
Intensely emotional film, based on the book 'Long Way Home' by Saroo Brierly. An incredible story, anchored initially by incredible child actor Sunny Pawar and later by Dev Patel as the older Saroo. Take your tissues.
I thought I was going to love this as much as everyone else has, but I didn't. The book is full of narrative holes, and the film, following the book fairly faithfully, has the same issues. The parents... Read more for example, and nothing more than cardboard cutouts, and seem even odder than the children they've taken in. We just don't know enough about them, or how they came to want these particular children. Dev Patel is very appealing, as is the little boy playing him as a child, but Rooney Mara seems to have wandered in from another film, and there's no chemistry on screen between her and Patel. I thought it was on the level of a television soap.
Beautifully acted movie made all the more interesting as it was based on truth. Very sad and powerful. Well worth watching
Beautifully shot. I had seen the doco about the real story but have to say the film was well worth watching. Emotional and amazing story. Acting all round was great but the wee boy was exceptional.
