Really enjoyed this moving story - difficult to watch at times, but true - so all the more moving. Hard to believe this sort of thing goes on around the world, and we are so often totally unaware.

point causes him to lose the plot but then get back on track again. To this day, the work of Sam Childers is ongoing. The film is very raw and brutal in parts, making it a bit hard to watch, but all of that is probably necessary to portray the reality of the crimes that take place in Uganda. Well worth a watch, but don't expect light viewing. And in the beginning, the language is a bit rough as well, but that is before Sam finds his faith. The transformation of Sam is also realistically portrayed.

shouldn't be prettied up so as not to upset anyone, the world NEEDS to open its eyes to this sort of thing. A must see movie.

Very good movie. Brought the reality of what happens in other less fortunate parts of the world into my lounge. Well worth watching.

Some of the God bits come across quite cheesy but this remarkable true story could not be told without them. Butler gives a career defining performance.

Very well made film of a true story of an amazingly brave and committed man who turns from being one of the bad guys to being a truly great human being. An exeptional story if a tad too long but still comes highly recommended.
