Mulholland Drive is one of the best films ever made. I was utterly confounded, mystified, disturbed, fascinated, and it felt as if someone had driven a truck through my brain. This movie is a story of obssesion.

Best ever neo-noir. Best Lynch. Wonderful acting. Forget the temporal dislocation and anomie; if you spent a lot of time in Beverly Hills as I did in the late 70s, it makes perfect sense. God I miss... Read more
those Ludes; we all have to grow up sometime. Plot is simple once you realise that much of the early scenes are drug-induced fantasies. This Hollywood is certainly not Kanas, any more than it was forJudy. Repeat viewings are a must.

I`ve seen Mulholland drive at least 5 times - it`s fantastic movie for kind of people, who like to think about movie even days later after watching.
Naomi Watts ( her first bigger role - I suppose... Read more
) is just stunning. So are the other actors. I cannot get the sound track to this movie. Would love to have one.

This movie is average at best, coupled with the fact that David Lynch has such a sordid history of making movies that a) go no where B) mean nothing. It's best just to put it down and step away and... Read more
save your self two hours. Just because its supposedly artistic and esoteric does not mean its worth watching. Just because a movie makes no sense does not mean its better than you. Some movies make no sense. PS this review can be attached to "lost highway" also.

This is a poor movie. Lynch was going to make a tv series out of the script but it ended up being a movie - predictably, he then ran out of time to squash the whole story in. The result is a highly... Read more
stylised, overly long and overwrought first 3/4, followed by botched ending which is supposed to explain the various threads of the first part and the enormous plot reversal at the end. So if you watch it 4 times and read the script it might start making sense to you. A botched movie which fell apart half way through due to production deadline pressures. Regardless of one's tastes in movies, this is a poor effort, which no amount of heavy-breathing and synthesizers can redeem... pity, the idea for the script had potential.

One of the weird (but wonderful) movies I've not seen for a while. Very sexy & suspenseful.

Spot on. Just what you'd expect from Lynch, leaves more questions than answers. Fascinating, disturbing, unpredictable.

Not since Eraserhead has David Lynch concocted such an intriguing, confusing, riveting tale of the limits of reality. Mulholland Dr. has a structurally strong plot and asks questions all throughout... Read more
and its not until the end that we realize that we actually have to THINK about what the answers may be; they're not always presented directly to us. This is especially the case with Lynch. A brilliant and interesting creation, this is DL at his best.

I love Lynch, but not this. Weak female leads faff about in the midst of inexplicable transmogrification. It's like an outtake from his better chiz. Pretty but vacant.

David Lynch the master of illusion. We want to believe all, then he cuts the ground from under you. When I saw the movie at the film festival people walked out at the three quarter mark and I wondered... Read more
why. People demand the full answer to keep their lives nice and tidy so they sleep tight as momma said. When Lynch offers up the reality that is not everything fits your preconceived plan it is not acceptable so put it in the recycle bin. It is much more fun to be made aware of the options and stimulate your own creativity.
