Good watch! Loads of action and adventure! Johnny Depp is always(?) good!
It's a petty the later films in the Pirates of the Carribbean didn't keep up the standard!

keep your attention away from the real story to make it appear more interesting and intriguing. I recommend this movie as it's an entertaining ride and treat to watch.

the plot both believable (which I find hard to believe) and entertaining.When I first read the plot of this movie (a cursed coin made into a necklace finds its way into the hands of a genteel young girl at a tender age. It is sought by a ship full of "undead" pirates who find the young girl - now a young woman about to be married - and kidnap her. She is saved by a scarrulous roue called Captain Jack Sparrow - at times displaying mannerisms implying dubious sexual orientation - and the son of an old enemy played by Orlando Bloom in appropriate style. Pirates, ghosts, curses, good bad-guys and bad good-guys, damsels in distress and pretty boys coming of age) my first thought was "gag me".
However, the movie is both entertaining, surprisingly funny and very well done (considering the subject matter).
All in all, a triumph in my mind. I can finally understand why it was nominated for Oscar Awards...

Great fun, a must see movie that is destined to become a classic! Fans of Johnny Depp and Orlando Bloom will love it!
