Classical movie, one of my top 5. A great role played by Dustin Hoffman. Even Tom Cruise is tolerable in this movie. The plot is great and the acting phenomenal. A must see for everyone.

Amazing acting - Hoffman is brilliant. He is fantastic. The story line was equally fantastic. Would recommend this as a must see.

opens the mind a little to the mentally impaired/gifted. Not a light watch, slow moving and generally uneventful but I don't regret watching it.

Dustin Hoffman rains (no pun intended ) supreme. Tom Cruise is so young! A fabulous movie that still stands up in todays standards. Have watched several times over the years and no doubt will again.

funny, warm, and emotional without being overly-sentimental and sticky, and I liked the way it ended - maybe not very conclusively, but with a great deal of satisfaction for the brother who started off being a pain in the neck, and grew into a likeable and more human kind of person.
