The absolute number one Star Wars film. Period. Although i prefer the ending of Return Of The Jedi. The ending of this is more famous however. All in all. One of my top 10 films of all time. Very difficult list to get into

A rather too long, swashbuckling adventure, that gets a bit tedious at times, but with some light relief from the two droids. The little Jedi master adds some more interesting counterpoints with his... Read more
quasi Zen comments. I'm allowing for the era in which this movie was made, with its rather PC approach, but I guess I'm admitting that I'm all Starwared out, and probably getting too old for it. I saw it all those twenty years ago, and enjoyed it then and wanted a reminder of what I saw.

My husband loved it and tells me to rate it 5. I went to bed. A blokes movie. I have no idea what it was about.

. This episode paves the way for the final set of the trilogy. It is not a good time for the Alliance. Really spectacular places and settings. More intrigue and action as Luke is being baited with the capture of his friends Han Solo, Leia, Chewie and C3PO. He has just started his Jedi training with Master Yoda when he has to run out to save his friends from the evil plans of Darth Vader. As always, nothing beats Star Wars. If you liked Episode IV you'll love Episode V.

Brilliant, nothing quite like the star wars experience and episode 5 starts getting into the climax of the storyline. Awesome special effects for it time.

This episode of the original trilogy is filled with more humour than I remember. Unlike StarWars, Empire Stirkes Back has no definite ending, thought there is still plenty of action and excitement... Read more
. It's aging well. The style of storytelling is revealing i's traits as time passes so you can see it is of a particular period and by a particular director. It's a classic.

This is one of the best from the trilogy. Special effects are absolutely amazing. Looking forward to seeing the rest of the stories.
