effects were quite good and the acting not too bad either. But if you are not a Marvel Comics Superhero fan, then don't bother, because you probably won't enjoy this.

did find myself thinking 'this is a bit unlikely' a lot, which was probably a bit silly given the premise, but is maybe an indication of how difficult it is to get lost in the 'reality' of the film.

Joss Whedon really pulled out all the stops. Good overall action movie. Great fx, sound, acting, etc. pretty ACE overall. Violent (so no appropriate for young people) but good brain holiday.

Hulk, IronMan 1 and 2, Captain America and Thor with the latter 2 a really a must.The action is great after a strong build up and the humour in the way the heroes interact will have you chuckling out loud.

many and the film jumps around in an incoherent mess without focusing for any length of time on any of them, this leads to zero character development. There is a sense throughout that the film makers were simply trying too hard and trying to fit too much into it. Now super-hero films are not known for realism, but some parts of this film, such as a flying aircraft carrier, were so absurdly ridiculous that they were unintentionally funny. Other parts, such as Iron Man taking off his suit when facing Loki were just plain stupid. And then there was the pace; a good portion of the film was spent with the characters arguing amoungst themselves, before it finally got going and they started to work together, after that was a big fight and....the film ended.
