One of only 2 true horrors by alfred (psycho being the other) this is an extremely good movie genuine sense of terror and isolation portrayed in this movie. good walk on by alfred (hes the guy that... Read more walks the dog past the pet shop) and the bird attacks are real. thats real blood they are drawing. and those are real screams from the kids. (they tied the birds to the kids) rent it now.
After the initial plot set up, this film is awesome, scary, interesting. I recommend it.
Famous but somewhat disappointing and over-rated Hitchcock thriller. We have to sit through a dull first half before we finally get to the avian apocalypse, and the main characters aren't particularly... Read more interesting or likeable. Yes this is an old movie but I had to see an old classic. Liked the story !!! My mom is still scared of birds.
One of my favourite hitchcock films. Very cool concept and quite scary for an old film. Would be a very interesting remake

Probably much better than most would imagine- Hitchc_ck (the site will not allow me to use director's full name on the apparent grounds that it is 'offensive language'... easy to see how that could... Read more happen though) creates suspense and a sense of disquiet with subtlety and restraint, resulting in a more 'intelligent' sort of thriller.
Recommended to all, but bear in mind that it may not be as simplistically captivating as a more modern film, and you will likely have to be in the right frame of mind to fully enjoy.
