What an amazing film, the visual effects are spectacular,especially Smaug the dragon. A big improvement over the first Hobbit film. So epic. Can't wait for There and Back Again.

Compare with the first movie, like other reviewers a massive improvement enjoyed the movie greatly, good old pop corn and bubble gum stuff do take it to seriously it is what it is, just bloody good fun.

Yes, the visuals are done well, but it is just a chapter in the book. Unfortunately, you cannot get around watching this one if you want to follow the story. South Island is beautiful!
