Meryl Streep just gets better and better, if this is possible.
Great insights into Thatcher, her politics and Alzheimer. Recommended
Never compromise
Meryl Streep provides a subtle and nuanced portrait of Margaret Thatcher, the first female prime minister of Britain, whose political career and determination changed the rules that had limited women's opportunities for leadership.

A great movie. Meryl Streep is really great in this.
I enjoyed this film as a film about someone slipping into Alzheimers and thought that Meryl Streep was just amazing - what a great actor she is.
However, I was a bit irritated by the flashbacks... Read more
(always a bit jarring, I think) to supposedly key moments in her political career; these were done in a way that assumed you knew what it was all about. I did, and so found the shallow allusion and analysis annoying; and if you didn't then it wasn't enough information to make you better informed.Meryl Streep deserved every inch of that Oscar - command perfornance. But the screenplay was also just beautifully written - such power and conviction but at what cost to family and country? The movie... Read more

in her later years to her youth and political career. Finally a Streep film that didn't set me off - Iron Lady - almost believe that it's her but very bitty film! Not really the historical info I was expecting, but lovely to see the 'personal things' she did like writing to soldiers families.
Really love this film. The transformation of Meryl Street to become Margaret Thatcher was nothing short than perfect!! When I looked at real footage of Thatcher, the similarity was amazing. So it... Read more
goes to show once again what a diva of Hollywood, Meryl Streep still is. I only came short of 5 stars in this movie, because I had read that the portrayal of Thatchers dementia was not all that factual. And when I was watching this, I had to agree that it was perhaps a bit over the top. But apart from that minor point, the movie was overall EXCEPTIONAL!!!
