Golden Globe winner Winona Ryder stars as Lois Wilson, the co-founder of Al-Anon, in this absorbing drama about love and redemption. After decades of struggling with her husband Bill's (Barry Pepper) alcoholism, Lois must also cope with her own emotional addiction. Although Bill has gotten sober and begun Alcoholics Anonymous, it's not until Lois establishes a group to support and educate other families that she revitalizes her self-esteem.

Thought this movie engaging, a little over dramatic at times until I realised was based on a true story about the founding of Alcoholics Anonymous. Then decided the story was very worthwhile in the telling
